The Beginning

Livescan equipment ranges from $3,500 to $6,500.  Plus some continuing costs..  This will go on the back burner for now.  Because you can't even think about a purchase until you get certified.  But the cost is important and you may need to toss this around in your mind and or plan for it.

 Step 1:   Get certified.  You don't need livescan equipment to get certified.  The cost to get certified is approximately $99.00.  Once certified you can offer fingerprint cards.

The link to the DOJ is below.  Read it. Print the handbook.  Submit your application and get livescaned.

Step 2:  Once certified you need to email the DOJ at livescansupport@doj.ca.gov

I am a certified fingerprint roller in CA. I respectfully request information on how to become a Private Service Provider. I live in (your city & county). My FPC number is -------
